Church Activities
Elswick Church holds a service at 10.30 on Sunday together with Junior Church. 
Guides, Brownies, Rainbows &
Badminton meet weekly and there is a monthly Coffee Shop on the First Wednesday of the month.

Rainbows are a section of Girl Guiding for
5 - 7 year olds. Elswick Rainbows meet in Elswick URC hall every Tuesday
4:30pm - 5:30pm. We have fun playing games and doing crafts.

Brownies
Brownies is for girls aged 7 - 10 years old. We enjoy lots of indoor and outdoor activities as well as earning badges for all sorts of things from Home making to Stargazing. Elswick Brownies meet in Elswick URC hall Mondays 5:30pm - 7pm.

At Guides we encourage the girls to make their own decisions. We enjoy lots of girl-led activities promoting independence, compassion, friendship and leadership skills all whilst having lots of fun.

Bowling
The club was formed in 1989 and runs six teams. Free  instruction and use of bowls for new bowlers available on Saturdays at 2pm, or by arrangement, details on the notice board attached to the clubhouse.

Keep Fit
The keep fit and active classes are for all adults over 19 years with no upper age limit and are for all abilities. The course aims to improve health ad wellbeing whilst having fun. Held in the Village Hall.

Elswick Singers
Established 26 years ago, the choir practices every Tuesday evening in Elswick Village Hall at 7:30pm. We present concerts each year in the hall and take part in competitions and music festivals.

Britain in Bloom
Elswick is known as the ‘Village of Flowers’ due to the magnificent floral displays and success in the Britain in Bloom competition, winning the Gold award in the national final in 2014 & Best North West village 4 years in succession.

Wildflower Meadow
As part of the Community Orchard project a wildflower meadow was seeded in Roseacre Road next to the orchard. More than fifty wildflowers have been identified in the meadow and more are being discovered every year.

Community Orchard
Elswick used to be famous for its orchards but sadly these have all now disappeared. In 2011 a project was undertaken to recreate a typical Elswick orchard using tree species common in the 19th century.
